Forum: GratefulDead Subject: New Rhino release

The following was released in 2011. I was unaware of it - it doesn't seem to be mentioned at Dead.net. Seems like a strange selection of songs. Could these be their best selling singles?

I love the two reviews of this currently on Amazon:

"What a load of crap. I really have not a clue what the purpose of this CD is for. All previously released material spanning over 20 years, an incoherent, random mish mash of titles that share no common theme I can think of. Don't buy."

"Grateful Dead has numerous collections around. To add a ten track disc of "hits" on the pile doesn't make much sense. It comes off as a budget collection which is odd considering it's from Rhino. Such a random mix too. If you're looking for a single disc of Dead just find the 17 track Very Best Of (also from Rhino). Even Skeletons From The Closet is better. Now this is really cheap, I'll give it that. But still, totally unneeded."
